Architecture, City and Environment.

It´s widely accepted that vegetation improves environmental conditions in cities. The shade of the trees directly affects the thermal conditions of the surrounding environment to people who use public space, since it prevents solar radiation reaches them, both them and the pavement, reducing contributions. The aim of this study is to determine how much solar radiation and radiant temperature reduces a species, achieving better thermal conditions for the human body. To do these assess the Celtisaustralis, known as Almez, in two urban scenarios: a street and a square. The analysis is divided into five steps. First identify the variables studied. Two scenarios are selected for analysis. In situ measurements are performed in summer and winter. The luxuriance of the specimens is evaluated. And the data are entered in the energy balance model Ochoa de la Torre. The leafy the Almez quantifies between 0 – 0.25 during a day, reduces la radiation between 300 and 827 W/m2; between 4 y 21 °C radiant temperature and up to 219 W/m2 contributions to the energy balance of the human body. The Celtisaustralis is an excellent tool for urban environmental design since unmitigated thermal environment contributions to improving the environmental conditions for users of urban space.
