The workshop started last Wednesday 20 with an event at Mies van der Rohe Pavillion, and contin...]]> From 20th to 24th September 2017, the International Workshop Mediterranean blind & Japanese sudare has been carried out in Barcelona. The workshop started last Wednesday 20 with an event at Mies van der Rohe Pavillion, and continued the following days in the ETSAB. During these days, students from different countries, including a group of students from Waseda University of Tokio, attended different technical sessions about the subject, and could visit many buildings in Barcelona where “persiana” has played an important role in the design. The workshop continued with the elaboration of an exercise about “persiana” in the context of Cerdà Eixample. The results were presented last 24th September in the afternoon in the ETSAB.

The workshop has been organized by Carlos Alonso, teacher and member of AiE group, and other teachers and members of the AiE group have taken part on it, Cristina Pardal and Judit López.

In this workshop, the mediterranean blind will be analysed from different points of view, historical, constructive and environmental, among others.

The person in charge of the organisation in Barcelona, Carlos Alonso, is teacher at ETSAB and member of the AiE team.
