On May 10 and 12, 2023, the 8th edition of the International Workshop on Mediterranean Urban Morphology took place in Rome. It was jointly organized by the AiEM research group – Architecture, Energy and Environment – of the Barcelona School of Architecture, ETSAB UPC, and the SOS Urban Lab research group of the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome.
The objective is to analyze climate-vulnerable neighborhoods in the city of Rome and their associated public spaces. Methods, evaluation tools, and urban surveys will be presented to investigate and map the qualities of open spaces: urban activity, microclimate, energy performance, and thermal comfort.
