Within the framework of the “Lluèrnia” Festival of Fire and Light, the AiEM Research Group presented an installation on November 12, 2016, in Olot under the motto Lavagueram:

Olot’s subsoil is in turmoil. The overproduction of the bean crop known worldwide as “mongetes de Santa Pau” has caused major geological imbalances in La Garrotxa. This has generated strong telluric tensions that have cracked the region’s tectonic plate, causing volcanic activity to restart. According to our specialists, it is possible to channel all this energy through the sewage network. Furthermore, specific points acting as spillways or expansion valves have been detected, through which it is possible to release the excess accumulated tension.
